Sherwood Avenue Tennis Courts

We have these fantastic outdoor floodlit tennis courts available to hire at Sherwood Avenue in Newark.

Prices range from FREE access to £4.50 for 30 minutes and our fantastic events and coaching opportunities  are available for the whole community to get involved with. Whether you’re a seasoned player or picking up a racket for the first time , everyone is welcome - all you need is your enthusiasm! 

Easily accessible on foot or bicycle means you can arrive stress-free and jump right into the action. If you are coming from further afield don’t worry, public car parking is available next to the court. 

The courts are across the road from a fantastic children’s play park and a two-minute stroll from Newark’s renowned Royal Market Place – ideal for a wander around local shops, or post-match re-fuelling in local cafés and restaurants.

How To Book

Courts can be booked and paid for through the Lawn Tennis Association's (LTA) Clubspark system

The gate location is at the side of the venue at the junction of Sherwood Avenue and Barnbygate. Please head down the access to the right of the car park for the main access gate. 

Once you have booked a court, you'll receive a unique pin code that can be used to access our SmartAccess gates at the time of your booking.  This code will work ten minutes before your booking.
