We offer a fun packed activity programme for juniors during school holidays. The programme is available at Newark Sports and Fitness Centre plus Dukeries and Southwell Leisure Centres. Further details can be found in our timetables section.
Active4Today Sports Camp
As part of our holiday activity programme we offer a sports camp. These fast paced fun sessions burn that excess energy, whilst supporting children to experience new sports and games, encourage teamwork and enable new friendships to be made.
Each Sports camp offers structured indoor sports and provide children a great opportunity to try a variety of activities they may not otherwise have access to. We often welcome guest coaches from community based sports clubs to deliver specialist sessions alongside our coaching teams as this allows children to 'have a go' at a new sport, and enables clubs to open their doors to new members.
Every session includes supervised access to our fitness suites and a fun swim session in one of our pools, so don't forget to bring your kit!
Please ensure children wear appropriate clothing, swimwear and footwear. Bring plenty to drink and a light snack.

Holiday And Food (HAF) Activities
The Holiday Activity & Food Programme (HAF) is funded by the Department for Education. The programme aims to support the wellbeing of children focussing on physical and mental wellbeing by providing a variety of activities and food during school holidays.
Active4Today are running sessions at Newark Sports & Fitness Centre and Dukeries Leisure Centre that are FREE for children and young people aged 8 – 16 years, receiving benefits-related free school meals.
HAF sessions are only bookable through our website using the link at the bottom of the page. Please note the Nottinghamshire County Council HAF code is required at the time of booking. To access your HAF code please call 0115 9774999 (Mon-Fri 10am-2pm). *Both sessions must be attended.
HAF Gym and Swim (12-16yrs)
This activity takes place over two sessions*. Participants will complete an induction and enjoy a swim.
HAF Sports Camps (8-13yrs)
Participants will join our Sports Camps and be given the opportunity to experience a variety of fun, indoor sports activities including access to the fitness suite and a fun swim - so don’t forget your kit!
Family Sports Sessions
Participants can come along for a morning of family fun! Choose from badminton, short tennis or table tennis. Maximum of 5 people per booking

Badge Awards
Swimming Awards
Swimming awards are now available digitally for you to download and print at home.
If you would like to register to receive the digital certificate, please forward this email to xperience@active4today.co.uk.
We will process your request for the award within three working days and you will then receive an email from the digital awards team at the Swimming Teachers Association (STA). This will contain a link to your downloadable certificate which you can print at home free of charge. If you would prefer to receive a physical certificate and accompanying badge, you can order and pay for these on the link provided by the STA at a cost of £2.50 per badge and certificate.
All Other Awards
For all other awards and badges, these will be available from the Leisure Centre at a cost of £2.50 per badge and certificate. If you would like to purchase the award, please forward this email to xperience@active4today.co.uk and the award will be processed within 7 days and payment taken on collection.
We hope gymnastics and trampoline awards will be available electronically in the future.
Requests for all certificates and badges must be made within 28 days following receipt of an email from us.

Tumble Tots
Tumble Tots have weekly sessions at Newark Sports and Fitness Centre and Southwell Leisure Centre during term time.
Newark Sports and Fitness Centre - Wednesdays
10am - 10.45am: Walking to 2yrs
11am - 11.45am: 2yrs to 3yrs
12.45pm - 1.30pm: 3yrs to school age
Southwell Leisure Centre - Fridays
10.30am - 11.15am: Walking to 2yrs
11.30am - 12.15am: 2yrs to 3yrs
1.00pm - 1.45pm: 3yrs to school age
Bookings for trials are now being taken so get in quick to reserve your little ones place.
You can book your trial online or by calling Tumble Tots directly on 07805 178852.
A trial session costs £6.00 and is payable at the class. Once you have enjoyed your session and joined Tumble Tots, fees are payable each half term.
